The Academy of Joint Integrity, in partnership with Novus Sealing, is holding a series of training courses, to be held at our purpose-built training facility in Cleckheaton throughout the second half of this year. Full details of the courses below.

Day 1 - JI022: Management of Joint Integrity for Pressurised Systems
(full day course)

Course Content:
Demonstration of the Flange Assembly Demonstration Unit, a unique Training Assessment tool which can be made available for operators to train and assess contractors prior to turnarounds and maintenance activities, underpinning the basic concepts behind achieving successful Leak Free Performance.

This full day course will also provide guidance and improve knowledge of good practice which could assist operators to develop their own management system for bolted pipe joints. Review current Industry Best Practice Guidelines and understand the Essential Elements of a Management System to ensure Leak Free Performance and legislative compliance.

Day 2 - JI028: Flange Alignment and Spreading Best Practice
(half day course)

Course Content:
This half day course is designed to complement the above course JI022 and is aimed at those experienced engineers looking for safe controlled methods of flange alignment and flange spreading, hence contributing towards successful assembly of the flanged bolted connection. A PVRC study identified poor flange alignment as key failure mechanism of investigated leaking flanged connections. Maintenance /Turnarounds involving installation of valves/pumps, etc all involve the correct alignment of pipe work and equipment, course will review typical scenarios and involve practical use of equipment..
